Back pain isn’t picky. Back pain may
find any of us at any time whether we are
stay-at-home workers or out-in-the-world workers, active
military people or veterans. The reputation of chiropractic for helping back pain sufferers persists
and grows in the civilian and military/veteran
care systems. The more recent interest has been how
much chiropractic care is best for back pain relief.
Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. follows this research since
military/veteran back pain resembles our civilian
Auburn back pain!
BACK PAIN INCIDENCE
80% of us will get back pain at some point
in our lives, in our youth, middle years, or old age. 264 million
work days were documented to be lost in one year due
to back pain. (1) Auburn chiropractic care is made
to help all ages! Somewhere between 25 and 33% of older folks reportedly
experience low back pain annually. Low back pain for older adults is reported to be debilitating as it often curbs their
independence and multiplies the number of doctor visits they
have. A study that merged primary care
with chiropractic care for their back pain brought
about modest improvements in their back
pain and disability and higher patient satisfaction and perceived
improvement over just primary care. (2)
Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. witnesses these same outcomes for our
Auburn back pain patients! Older patients with chronic low back
pain along with other medical issues who employed
only chiropractic spinal manipulation for their back pain had reduced
overall costs of care, shorter occurrences of back
pain, and lower costs of care per back pain episode. (3) Back
pain relief in a shorter time at less expense…a triple
bonus for Auburn
back pain sufferers!
BACK PAIN CARE WITH CHIROPRACTIC
Like the rest of us, military personnel and veterans
struggle with back pain and experience relief
with chiropractic care. Chiropractic is well-integrated into
the VA system for veterans with low back pain and other musculoskeletal
conditions. A recently proposed study of chiropractic care in
Veterans Affairs healthcare facilities for low back pain sets out
to see if low dose (one to 5 visits) or higher dose (8
to 12 visits) chiropractic care for 10 weeks is optimal
for chronic low back pain relief. (4) (The Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain
Management discovered in a study of 1000 back pain
patients that 12 visits and 29 days were the mean number of visits and days to get patients maximally improved. (5))
A similar finding was made when chiropractic care was added to usual medical care for active-duty military personnel with low back pain. Moderate short-term improvement in back pain disability
and intensity was reported.
Multidisciplinary care of back pain that includes
chiropractic is indicated as being beneficial. (6) The aim
of Auburn chiropractic for back pain sufferers – civilian and
military alike – is back pain relief. Dr. Le's Chiropractic & Wellness, L.L.C. is prepared to provide
that!
